About 20 men stormed a gurdwara and stopped an inter-faith wedding between a Sikh bride and non-Sikh white groom.
Members of the Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara in south-west London said final preparations were underway when the “thugs“ came in. “ It was because it was a mixed marriage...They came here to spoil it and intimidate us,“ gurdwara vice-president Sohan Singh Sumra said. Scotland Yard officers were called in to remove the men. The gurudwara is one of London's largest Sikh temples and was inaugurated by Prince Charles.
