தமிழ் எவாஞ்செலிகல் லூத்தரன் சர்ச்சில் நடப்பதென்ன – கிருத்துவ சாமியார்கள் கருப்பு ஆடுகளாக மாறி, கற்பழிப்பு, செக்ஸ்-வன்புணர்ச்சிகளில் ஈடுபடுவதேன்?

தமிழ் எவாஞ்செலிகல் லூத்தரன் சர்ச் [Tamil Evangelical Lutheran Church (TELC)] கத்தோலிக்கப் பிரிவை சாராத அதாவது புரொடெஸ்டென்ட் (Protestant Church)சர்ச் பிரிவைச் சேர்ந்தது. திருச்சியை தலைமையகமாகக் கொண்டு ஜனவரி 19, 1919 அன்று இது ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டது[1]. இருப்பினும் இதன் தோற்றம் ஜீஜன்பால்கு மற்றும் ஹென்ரிச் புளுட்சௌ முதலியோரது () காலத்திற்கு செல்கிறது. 28 குழந்தை காப்பகங்கள் நடத்தி வரும் இச்சர்ச்சின் மீது ஏகப்பட்ட வழக்குகள் நிலுவையில் உள்ளன[2].

14-10-2010 அன்று அளிக்கப்பட்ட தீர்ப்பில், நீதிபதி பிஷப் மற்றும் இதர சர்ச் கவுன்சில் அங்கத்தினர் முதலியோரது வழக்குகுகள் “தமிழ் எவாஞ்செலிகல் லூத்தரன் சர்ச்” என்பது தமிழ் எவாஞ்செலிகல் லிட்டிகேஷன் சர்ச்” என்றகியுள்ளது என்று குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார். சட்டச்சண்டைகள் போடும் / தேவையில்லாமல் வழக்காடும் கூட்டமாகி விட்டது என்று எடுத்துக் காட்டுகிறார்.Disposing of a batch of petitions, Justice V. Ramasubramanian observed that a number of cases filed by Bishop of Tranquebar House and his supporters against the Church Council members and their supporters and vice-versa and a number of conflicting orders passed by the lower courts in those cases had unfortunately turned the 90-year-old TELC into “Tamil Evangelical Litigation Church” in the recent past.
இப்படி உள்ளூக்குள் ஒருவர் மீது மற்றவர்கள் குற்றாஞ்சாட்டியுள்ளது, நிர்வாக சீர்கேட்டினையே காட்டுகிறது. முறையான நிர்வாகம் இல்லாததினால், கோள் சொல்லும் அளவிற்கு வாதி-பிரதிவாதிகள் இறங்கியுள்ளனர். இடைக்கால உத்தரவுகள் வாங்குவது, காலந்தாழ்த்துவது போன்ற செயல்கள், அதிகார துஷ்பிரயோகம் மற்றும் பலவீனத்தைக் காட்டுகிறது.“A careful scrutiny of the persons who had approached different courts, the nature of relief sought by them and the interim orders that they have obtained would show that the parties have thoroughly exploited the weaknesses in the procedural law relating to territorial jurisdiction, exposed the fragility of the system of administration of justice, indulged in forum shopping and abused the process of law.”

திர்ர்ப்பினை வாசிக்கும் போது, அவர்களில் சொத்து, பணம், அதிகாரம் முதலியவற்றைப் பகிர்ந்து கொள்வதில் உள்ள போட்டி-பொறாமை முதலியவை உள்ளது தெளிவாகத் தெரிகிறது. ஒவ்வொருவரும் அடங்காமல் எதேச்சதிகாரமாக செயல்பட்டு வருவது தெரிகிறது. முழு தீர்ப்பை இங்கே வாசிக்கவும்[3].

டி.இ.எல்.சி., மேல்நிலைப்பள்ளி நிர்வாக செயல்பாடு ஊசலாடிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது[4] புதுக்கோட்டை டி.இ.எல்.சி., மேல்நிலைப் பள்ளி நிர்வாகத்தின் செயல்பாடுகள் என்பது “உயிர் ஊசலாடிக் கொண்டிருப்பதைப் போன்று’ உள்ளதாக மாவட்ட கல்வி அலுவலர் பார்வதி குற்றஞ்சாட்டினார். பள்ளியின் 155வது ஆண்டு விழாவில் கலந்துகொண்டு அவர் பேசியதாவது: “புதுக்கோட்டை மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள பழமை வாய்ந்த பள்ளிகளில் டி.இ.எல்.சி., மேல்நிலைப் பள்ளியும் ஒன்று. இங்கு படித்த பலர் உயர்ந்த நிலைக்கு வந்துள்ளனர். பெற்றோர்கள் ஒவ்வொருவரும் தங்கள் குழந்தைகளை புதுக்கோட்டை டி.இ.எல்.சி., மேல்நிலைப் பள்ளியில் சேர்ப்பதைத் தான் விரும்புவர்.
இங்கு இடம் கிடைக்காவிட்டால் தான் இதர பள்ளிகளுக்கு செல்கின்ற நிலை இருந்தது. அப்படிப்பட்ட நிலை தற்போது தலைகீழாக மாறியுள்ளது. இங்கு குழந்தைகளை சேர்க்க பெற்றோர்கள் அஞ்சுகின்ற நிலை உள்ளது. இங்கு படிக்கின்ற மாணவர்களின் எண்ணிக்கை படிப்படியாக குறைய இதுதான் காரணம்.
ஒரு நிர்வாகம் திறன்பட செயல்பட வேண்டுமானால் தலைமை நன்றாக இருக்கவேண்டும். தலைமைக்கு கட்டுப்பட்டு ஆசிரியர்கள் செயல்படவேண்டும். இங்கு தலைமையை ஆசிரியர்கள் மதிப்பதில்லை. ஆசிரியர்களை தலைமை மதிப்பதில்லை. இங்கு ஐந்தாண்டுக்கும் மேலாக பணியாற்றிவரும் ஆசிரியர்கள் பணி நிரந்தரம் ஆவதை எதிர்பார்த்து திருமணத்தை கூட தள்ளிப்போடுகின்ற பரிதாப நிலை உள்ளது.

 

தலைமைக்குக் கட்டுப்படாமல் இருக்கும் ஆசிரியர்கள் முதலியோர்: அவர் தொடர்ந்து பேசினார்: “சுருங்கச் சொல்வதென்றால் டி.இ.எல்.சி., மேல்நிலைப்பள்ளி நிர்வாகத்தின் செயல்பாடு என்பது உயிர் ஊசலாடிக் கொண்டிருப்பதை போன்று உள்ளது. இந்த நிலை மாறவேண்டும். ஆசிரியர்கள் அனைவரும் மாணவர்களின் முன்னேற்றத்தில் கவனம் செலுத்தவேண்டும். தலைமைக்கு கட்டுப்பட வேண்டும். மாவட்ட கல்வித்துறைக்கு ஒத்துழைப்பு வழங்கவேண்டும். தவறினால் கல்வித் துறையின் நடவடிக்கைக்கு உள்ளாக வேண்டியது வரும்”, இவ்வாறு அவர் பேசினார். மாவட்ட கல்வி அலுவலர் பார்வதியின் தடாலடி பேச்சு மற்றும் எச்சரிக்கை பள்ளி ஆசிரியர்களை மட்டுமின்றி விழாவில் கலந்துகொண்ட எம்.பி., குமார் உள்ளிட்ட விருந்தினர்களையும் அதிர்ச்சியடையச் செய்தது. இந்நிலையில் தான் இந்த கர்பழிப்பு செய்தி வருகின்றது.

மாணவியிடம்சில்மிஷம்சாத்தூரில்டி.இ.எல்.சி.,விடுதிமுற்றுகை: தினமர் இப்படி தலைப்பிட்டு உள்ளே “மாணவி ஒருவரை, வார்டனின் கணவர் கற்பழித்ததாக” என்று விவரித்துள்ளது. அப்படியென்றால், “சில்மிஷம்” என்றால் “கற்பழிப்பது” என்று பொருளாகுமா? விருதுநகர் மாவட்டம், சாத்தூர் செல்லியாரம்மன் கோவில் தெருவில் உள்ள, டி.இ.எல்.சி., குழந்தைகள் காப்பகத்தில் தங்கி படித்து வந்த மாணவி ஒருவரை, வார்டனின் கணவர் கற்பழித்ததாக வந்த செய்தியை அடுத்து, விடுதியை பொதுமக்கள் முற்றுகையிட்டு, ஆர்ப்பாட்டம் செய்தனர்[5]. டி.இ.எல்.சி., காப்பகத்தில், நூற்றுக்கும் மேற்பட்ட மாணவியர் தங்கி, பல்வேறு பள்ளிகளில் படித்து வருகின்றனர். ஹாஸ்டல் வார்டன் நிர்மலாவின் (58) கணவர் தேவநேசன் (61) என்பவர், அங்கு தங்கி படிக்கும் மாணவியரிடம் சில்மிஷங்களில் ஈடுபட்டு வருவதாக, அப்பகுதியில் வசிக்கும் பெண்களிடம் மாணவியர் பலரும் புகார் தெரிவித்து வந்துள்ளனர்.

திருச்சி பிஷப் பின்பற்றிய முறையை தேவநேசனும் பின்பற்றியுள்ளது: இந்நிலையில், விடுதியில் தங்கி படித்து வரும், 10ம் வகுப்பு மாணவி சுமதி (14) (பெயர் மாற்றப்பட்டுள்ளது). தேவநேசனால் கற்பழிக்கப்பட்டு, கருதரித்து இருப்பதாகவும், இதை மறைக்க சுமதியை, தனியார் மருத்துவமனைக்கு அழைத்துச் சென்று ஊசி போட்டதாகவும், தகவல் பரவியது. இதை தொடர்ந்து, நேற்று இரவு 7 மணிக்கு, விடுதியை முற்றுகையிட்ட அப்பகுதி மக்கள், பெண் வார்டன், அவரின் கணவர், இருவரையும் கைது செய்யக்கோரி, ஒரு மணி நேரத்திற்கும் மேலாக ஆர்ப்பாட்டம் செய்தனர். சாத்தூர் டி.எஸ்.பி., சின்னையா பேச்சு வார்த்தை நடத்தினார். பெண் போலீசார் மாணவியிடம் விசாரணை நடத்தினர். ஹாஸ்டல் வார்டன் நிர்மலா, அவரின் கணவர் தேவநேசன், இருவரையும் போலீசார் ஸ்டேஷனுக்கு அழைத்துச் சென்று விசாரித்தனர். அப்பகுதியில், போலீஸ் பாதுகாப்பு போடப்பட்டுள்ளது.

கிருத்துவக் கற்பழிப்பு, செக்ஸ்-வெறியாட்டங்கள் தடுக்கப்படவேண்டும்[6]: கிருத்துவக் கற்பழிப்பு ஏன் இப்படி தொடர்கிறது என்று கிருத்துவர்கள் ஆராய்ச்சி செய்யாமல் அல்லது செய்தும், அதனை வெளியிடாமல், தங்களது குற்றங்களை மறைத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தால் ஒரு பிரயோஜனமும் இல்லை. மேலே அந்த மாவட்ட கல்வி அலுவலர் பார்வதி குற்றஞ்சாட்டியுள்ளது கவனிக்க வேண்டும்: “இங்கு ஐந்தாண்டுக்கும் மேலாக பணியாற்றிவரும் ஆசிரியர்கள் பணி நிரந்தரம் ஆவதை எதிர்பார்த்து திருமணத்தை கூட தள்ளிப்போடுகின்ற பரிதாப நிலை உள்ளது”. அதாவது செக்ஸ் உணர்வுகள் அடக்குப்பட்டு வருகின்றன. , இல்லை மறைமுகமாக அவை தணிக்க வேறுமுறைகளைக் கையாளுகின்றன. பெண்கள் வலுக்கட்டாயமாக அல்லது கொத்தடிமைகள் போல கன்னியாஸ்திரீக்களாக்கப் படுவது, இறையியலைச் சொல்லி நியாயப்படுத்துவது, பிறகு அவர்கள் காம இச்சைகளுக்குப் பயன்படுத்திக் கொள்வது முதலியன தவிக்கப்பட வேண்டும். காப்பகங்களைப் பொறுத்தவரைக்கும் வயது வந்த பெண்கள் இவ்வாறு செக்ஸ்-தொல்லைகளில் அநாவசியமாகச் சிக்கிக் கொள்வது, அவஸ்தைப் படுவது, வாழ்க்கையினை சீரழித்துக் கொள்வது என்பது தொடர்ந்து நடப்பதை சாதாரண நிகழ்வாக அல்லது கிருத்துவத்தின் உள்பிரச்சினையாக எடுத்துக் கொள்ளமுடியாது. கத்தோலிக்கத்தில் மட்டுமல்லாது மற்ற கிருத்துவப் பிரிவுகளில் இத்தகைய செக்ஸ், செக்ஸ் குற்றங்கள், வெறிச்செயல்கள், வன்புணர்ச்சிகள் முதலியவை அதிகமாக இருப்பதால், சமூகவியல், மனோதத்துவத் துறை வல்லுனர்கள், சமூக ஆர்வலர்கள் முதலியோர் ஆராய்ந்து, மறுபடி-மறுபடி நிகழாமல் ஆவண செய்ய வேண்டும். தொடர்ந்து இப்படி டீ-ஏஜ் பெண்கள் செக்ஸ் மற்றும் கற்ப்பழிப்புகளுக்கு ஊள்ளாவது, இந்திய சமூகத்தில் பெரிய தாக்கத்தை ஏற்படுத்தும்.

Lutherans Celebrate 300 Years of Ministry in India

CHICAGO (ELCA) — Bartholomaeus Ziegenbalg arrived in Tranquebar on the southeast coast of India on July 9, 1706, to bring Lutheran piety to the Tamil people. He became a part of the Tamil culture, and 300 years later the mission he founded and the people he influenced celebrate his arrival.
A 16-member delegation from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) will be on hand to help Lutherans in India celebrate the tercentenary of Ziegenbalg’s arrival. Programs are planned July 1-9 at the Gurukul Lutheran Theological College and Research Institute, Chennai (formerly Madras), and in Tranquebar (Tarangambadi), India.
“We want to be in solidarity with our Lutheran sisters and brothers in India on this very important celebration,” said the Rev. Joseph K. Chu, director for mission interpretation and support — Asia and Pacific, ELCA Global Mission.
“The Lutheran church started when the Rev. Ziegenbalg arrived in Tranquebar and engaged earnestly in evangelism 300 years ago,” Chu said. “Not only did he have the zeal for evangelism and dedication, he was a gifted linguist. He quickly learned the Tamil language and made the gospel understandable for people.”
“This is probably one of the earliest if not the earliest Lutheran mission in Asia,” Chu said. “We have much to learn from our Lutheran sisters and brothers in India on how they have struggled to keep the ministry growing over the past 300 years.”
The celebration begins July 1 with the opening of an exhibition in Chennai on the history of Lutheran mission in India.
His Excellency Thiru Surjit Singh Barnala, governor of India’s Tamil Nadu, has been invited to deliver an inaugural address July 3 for the celebration on the Gurukul campus. India’s minister for communication and information, Thiru Dayanidhi Maran will issue a commemorative stamp in honor of Ziegenbalg. Dr. Kalaignar Karunanidhi, Tamil scholar and chief minister of Tamil Nadu, will address the gathering.
A seminar on Ziegenbalg’s contributions to civil society, such as the printing and translation of the Bible into Tamil, production of the first Tamil grammar book and his pioneering work in herbal medicine, will be offered July 4 in Chennai.
July 5-6 will feature an international consultation on Christian mission. Seminar leaders will come from Egypt, Germany, India, Sweden and the United States, including the Rev. Mark S. Hanson, presiding bishop of the ELCA and president of the Lutheran World Federation (LWF).
The LWF is a global communion representing 62.3 million of the world’s nearly 65.4 million Lutherans. It is based in Geneva, Switzerland.
The Academy of Ecumenical Indian Christian Theology and Church Administration will host a convocation July 7 in honor of those who contributed to the cause for which Ziegenbalg arrived in India.
July 8 the celebration will move about 140 miles south down the Indian Ocean’s Bay of Bengal to Tranquebar for a rededication of the New Jerusalem Church, which Ziegenbalg first dedicated in 1718. Ziegenbalg died the next year, at the age of 37, and his body was buried at the church.
An Ecumenical Jubilee Thanksgiving Service in Tranquebar will mark the tercentenary July 9 to praise God for the service of Ziegenbalg. Hanson and other international guests will lead worship.
“India holds a special place in my heart,” said the Rev. Angela L. Shannon, Trinity English Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, Ind. She completed her third year of seminary education with a parish internship at the Lutheran Center in Hyderabad, India, through ELCA Global Mission’s Horizon Internship Program.
“My internship was a watershed experience that enlarged my vision of God’s activity in the world. Consequently, it changed my life and they way that I do ministry even today,” Shannon said.
“My sisters and brothers in India modeled the ministry of hospitality for me in a way that goes beyond mere entertaining. It is this lesson that I have carried and embodied the whole of my ministry with God’s people,” she said.
“I would like to establish relationships between members of Trinity English Lutheran Church, where I serve as associate pastor for mission and outreach, and members of a local Lutheran church in Chennai with an eye toward taking a group (from Fort Wayne) there for a visit,” Shannon added.
In addition to Chu, Hanson and Shannon, other members of the ELCA delegation will be the Rev. Rafael Malpica-Padilla, executive director, ELCA Global Mission; Art Milton, chair, Global Mission, ELCA Northern Illinois Synod, Rock Island; Kathryn S.
